3-rd year students in speciality “Foreign language: two foreign languages” of Humanitarian Faculty Kakimzhan Alibek and Muratova Aidana have attended intensive courses of the German language held at Buketov Karaganda State University from April, 24 till May, 1 2016 in the frames of the Week of the German language. It was organized by DAAD Service. To take part in these courses students had to pass special competitions.
The programme of the Week consisted of 5-day’s intensive language course 3-day’s various events: country-studying seminars “Travelling”, “Actual country-studying of Germany”, “Getting acquainted with the dialect of Berlin”; presentation “Studying in Germany”; workshops; a report of the German embassy representative; conference “About the state of the German language in Karaganda oblast”. 21 people participated in the intensive courses. They were students of different cities of Kazakhstan: Uralsk, Aktobe, Petropavlovsk, Pavlodar, Kokshetau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Karaganda, Shakhtinsk and Shymkent. The majority of them study German as the 1-st foreign language.
Sandra Ingelkoffer, a DAAD lecturer at KazHJU, Astana, Florian Tak, a DAAD lecturer at al-Farabi KazNU and ATU, Almaty and Stephan Kel, a DAAD lecturer at Buketov KarSU .
The programme included “Cities party” as well where the participants presented their regions and cities in German. After completing the courses a quiz-game on country-studying of Germany was held.
After useful days of hard work the participants passed tests on the knowledge of German where our students Kakimzhan Alibek and Muratova Aidana confirmed B1 level and got certificates.
